Philosophy

Moler Barber School of Hairstyling, has as its central objective to train students in the theory and skills necessary to become a barber stylists in the state of Minnesota. The school believes in developing student motivation as well as customer relations and customer retention. Every effort is made to respond to the needs of the barbering industry and the clientele it serves.

Our training goals are to provide both basic skills and knowledge of the techniques and procedures of hairstyling to qualified students while also teaching the employment responsibilities the students will need upon graduation.

Applicant must be at least 16 years of age. Applicant must have proof of a 10th grade education, G.E.D., high school diploma, or have the ability to benefit from the training.

Applicant must complete a Moler Barber School Application and have a minimum score of 70% on the aptitude test.

Applicant is required to have a T.B. (Mantoux) Test with the results from a doctor or clinic.
Applicant must have a personal interview prior to being accepted by the school.
Applications can be made at the school Tuesday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Saturday with an appointment.

The Minnesota State Barber and Cosmetology Board requires the completion of a 1,500 hour course and a passing grade of 70% on the state apprentice test.

Classes are Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM. The course will be 40 hours per week for 9 months. You will receive 1 1/2 hours of classroom per day and 6 1/2 hours of practical training per day.
